Cap 1 Três Figueiras is a project that offers coexistence with the host without leaving the city. Located in the Três Figueiras district, in Porto Alegre, the project consists of 16 front-facing apartments.
The Hanging House
The neighborhood's standard typology is not ignored: four plots come, four staggered volumes are proposed, respecting an enveloping morphology. Each volume is fragmented into each unit, each one in format, functioning as suspended houses.
The design aims to consolidate a volume that dialogues with the geometry of the terrain, the lines of the street and the scale of the immediate surroundings. The staggering of exposed concrete blocks establishes continuity with the region's topography and ensures better use of balcony areas - all apartments have individual pools.
Resulting from the generative process, all units have unique character and visuals within a dynamic and homogeneous set.
The interior and exterior blend together as needed. The generous common areas are positioned facing the street, and users' privacy is regulated at will.
Connection
On the ground floor, the common areas are allocated close to the street, maintaining a constant dialogue with the sidewalk through perforated corten steel panels. On the top floor, the apartments are duplexes and, on the first, gardens.
At the top of Chapter 1 are the Duplex Penthouses, veritable suspended mansions. In them, the social and intimate areas are on different floors: below, the social; upstairs, the private area, with rooms designed to provide greater comfort and privacy to residents.
In the social area are the gourmet kitchen, the dining room and the living room; spaces that can be integrated into the large terrace with a private pool, through the opening of the floor-to-ceiling frames.
In the intimate area are the suites. The entire extension of the apartments is provided with a perennial view of the Três Figueiras neighborhood and the intense green of its tree-lined streets. A breath in the middle of the day to day rush. In addition, the master suites face east, so that the first rays of sunlight invade the room and provide an energizing wake-up call every morning.
